AI readiness assessment

Which AI use is worth pursuing, and what must be settled first?

We map existing systems, prioritize use cases by business value and feasibility, and define the next limited implementation step.

Thirty minutes. Bring your starting point and the most important open decision. You will receive a clear assessment of whether this entry point fits.

Starting point

Four signs that your AI starting point is unclear

Article 4 has applied since February 2025EUR-Lex · As of 29 September 2026Article 4 of the EU AI Act requires providers and deployers to take measures that support their staff's AI literacy. Since the Omnibus Regulation (EU) 2026/1744, it no longer prescribes a specific level. Scope and format depend on the context of use.Open primary source

  • 01Teams use AI tools without a complete inventory.
  • 02Use cases are prioritized by interest without shared value and risk criteria.
  • 03Data access, approval and ongoing ownership are unclear.
  • 04Pilots create activity but no reliable operating decision.

First paid step

AI readiness assessment

The first step is a decision document. A wider transformation only makes sense once a prioritized use case and an accountable team are in place.

From inventory to a reliable decision

  1. 01

    Map the starting point

We clarify systems, users, data, decisions and existing internal rules.

  2. 02

    Assess use cases

Each agreed case receives transparent criteria for value, risk, data access and effort.

  3. 03

    Limit the next step

The decision document names one prioritized workflow, its owners and the smallest useful implementation scope.

What we need from you

  • An accountable member of the leadership team
  • Access to the agreed system and process information
  • Conversations with users, IT, privacy or compliance as needed
  • A decision on priority and ownership in the results meeting

What the base scope deliberately excludes

  • Technical integration into core systems
  • Legal advice or conformity assessment
  • Parallel implementation of several use cases
  • A guaranteed productivity or revenue result

This fits in these cases

  • AI is already used or concrete use cases need a decision
  • Business value and governance need to be considered together
  • An accountable team can own the next step

This is not the right step yet in these cases

  • You only need a general trends presentation
  • The relevant teams and system information are unavailable
  • You expect a company-wide strategy without internal decisions

Self-assessment

Make a first assessment of your starting point

The quick check highlights open areas. It does not replace interviews or an assessment of your systems.

AI MATURITY CHECK

Where does your company stand?

5 questions, 90 seconds, instant assessment.

AI maturity quick check by Convios. Orientation, not certification.

Optional module

Regulatory module

If NIS2, DORA or the EU AI Act affect your AI use, the module maps applicability and existing evidence and names the next working step. It is booked as an add-on to the assessment; scope and price are set out in the written offer. It does not replace legal advice.

  • Documented assessment of assumed applicability
  • Review of existing roles, policies and evidence
  • Prioritized gaps with owners and sequence

REGULATORY CHECK

Which obligations apply to you?

As of October 2, 2026 (Digital Omnibus timelines included). Sources: European Commission (AI Act), BSIG 2025 (NIS2), CRA. Not legal advice.

Afterwards

What may follow the assessment

A prioritized use case can move into a separate implementation. The work, fixed fee, leading indicator and sign-off criteria are agreed in writing first.

Review all three stages

Questions before you start

Do we need a complete AI inventory already?

No. An incomplete inventory can be a finding. Prioritization still requires access to the relevant teams and use situations.

Is implementation included?

No. You decide on the assessment and implementation separately.

Does the assessment replace legal review?

No. Convios structures governance and work needs. Legal advice and formal conformity assessments are excluded.

Is inventory, prioritization or governance the first open decision?

We review the data, decision and useful base scope. If another entry point fits better, we will say so during the call.

Discuss the value lever

Thirty minutes. Bring your starting point and the most important open decision. You will receive a clear assessment of whether this entry point fits.

The call is exploratory. If there is a fit, you receive a written proposal with the agreed work, fixed fee and sign-off criteria before you decide.
