    OUR STORY

    From university spin-off to AI advisory.

    2006

    Dr. Oliver Gausmann founds Convios GmbH as a spin-off from the University of Augsburg, together with Prof. Dr. Klaus Turowski and Dr. Bettina Fricke. The idea: bringing academic research on component-based software development and inter-organizational information systems into companies. In parallel, the Science meets Industry association is established.

    2007

    Early clients include WEKA Group, Google Germany, Mercedes-Benz, and Fujitsu Technologies. Starting in 2007, Convios conducts market studies, initially for Google in the tourism sector.

    2008

    For more than 12 years, Convios serves Fujitsu Technologies as a strategic client. Projects increasingly combine advisory with implementation in technology transformation. The work results in scientific publications at leading conferences and in academic journals.

    2011

    Dr. Gausmann invests in Minerals Value Service GmbH (MVS) and takes operational responsibility. In 2015, MVS is acquired by S&P Global.

    2012

    Start of a long-standing collaboration with United Internet and the brands GMX and Web.de. Convios conducts market studies and technology advisory for the group.

    2015

    VP Technologies & Innovation at S&P Global with 200+ engineers through four acquisitions. COO at CREATEQ with 300 employees across seven locations. Engagements including Munich Re and Versicherungskammer Bayern. Operational leadership in an international environment, alongside advisory work at Convios.

    2025

    Convios focuses on the three topics that belong together in the AI era: compliance and regulation, AI strategy and readiness, software delivery and performance. Built for the Mittelstand with 50 to 500 employees.
